Keechee Adjustable Bread Slicer Knife with Thickness Guide

This is a whole new bread slicing experience. It is so easy to cut perfect slices. The quality of the blade and the craftsmanship of the handle is superb. I would like to give kudos to the person that designed the package. The knife is well boxed, and comes with a small satchel with extra screws and a wrench to swap the direction of the blade from right hand to left hand. There are instructions on how to best use the knife and a small rug to wife the blade. So elegant and appealing.

This adjustable bread slicer is easy to use and does an excellent job of slicing bread. It makes an attractive kitchen accessory in a light colored Bamboo with a stainless steel cutting knife and size adjuster. It works for right or left handed users with a minimal adjustment. It can slice bread from 1/4 to nearly 2 inches. The device is 16 inches long and the serrated cutting blade is 9.5 inches long with a very sharp cutting edge. This tool functions well using either hand, it's attractive, described as a work horse, and a conversation piece. Very functional and easy to use, it slices without crushing the bread and it's portable. I like it!

I didn't even know there was a bread knife out there that cut uniform slices! This knife has been a game changer. We like bakery bread but we tear it up with other knives, even the "bread" knife tends to tear it up. This knife with the gauge, makes all the difference. We were able to slice neatly and uniformly. It is also adjustable for the size of slice you want, maybe you want it a little thicker or thinner. It's easy to adjust the gauge with just a few turns of the screw. This item is VERY giftable. I doubt most people have a really nice bread knife. We love it!

Love my adjustable bread knife. I have used it so much and am in need of a new blade. Where may I get one?

I make bread at least three or four times a month and I use the bread in place of the sandwich bread I buy at the grocery store. I have tried several different contraptions to get slices that are a consistent in thickness, but until this functional tool, I have not been satisfied because most methods of getting even slices requires too much effort getting the device set up and then it's too hard to use once it is set up.

This bread knife is ideal for two reasons. First, the knife itself is a good bread knife even without the guide. Second, the guide for creating uniform slices is adjustable and easy to use with minimal practice. It took just a few slices to get the feel of how to use the knife, but now that I have figured it out, it is really quite simple and I can get bread for a sandwich in literally less that 15 seconds. My advice: Start slow--it takes a few slices to get the feel of it. Keep your eyes on the guide--let the guide slide gently along the previously cut edge. After three or four slices, it gets easy.

After just one use, this bread pilot adjustable bread knife has already replaced my basic bread knife. I enjoy making homemade bread several times a month, but I can never seem to cut the slices straight, until now! I was able to set the size of the slice that I wanted, and the knife breezed through my loaf of artisan cheddar bread without issue. This bread knife is comfortable in my hand and is surprisingly lightweight. I did notice that there was a slight bend in the blade when I was done, but that is most likely from user error. Directions are included on how to adjust the blade, so you get the perfect thickness of bread, and they also included a little soft cloth to use to keep the blade clean and ready for the next use. This bread knife set would make a great gift for the bakers in your life and it is definitely worth the price.

This Keechee Bread Knife is by far one of the best bread knives I have ever used. I was thoroughly impressed with how effortlessly it sliced through bread, with no smushing at all. It is perfect for home bakers and anyone who enjoys fresh bread loaves.

The blade is extremely sharp, it even left marks on my cutting board, so be cautious with your fingers and cutting surfaces. It truly cuts through bread like butter. The knife feels well-balanced and has a comfortable weight, making it easy to control for precise slices. I also appreciate the adjustable guide that helps create even slices. I had a little trouble getting each slice to the exact same size at first, but the cuts were so clean and beautiful that it hardly mattered. The knife feels durable and solidly built, and I found it easy to clean with warm soapy water.

Very cool adjustable slice size bread knife. My friend saw me using the one my brother made me and asked if she could buy one from him. Her birthday is this month and since my brother isn't making them anymore I bought her this one. It came very nicely packaged and included a cleaning cloth and directions. I'll gift it to her with a loaf of homemade bread and a funny kitchen towel. She'll love it!

First, the packaging is just so pretty. If there's a breadmaker in your life, this would make a wonderful gift. The knife itself is well made with a beautiful wooden handle and a very sturdy blade. There are ruler guides on both sides for adjusting the blade to the thickness of bread slices you desire. The little knobs are easy to turn, as well. It comes with a leather cord in case you want to hang it from a hook and a little tool kit for removing the blade for cleaning. It even has microfiber cloths as well. Would highly recommend.

I was going to buy the fancy bread cutter because my bead knife was too hard to work through my sourdough but this worked like a charm for the price. Really thought i was going to return it but it was smooth and cut each slice precisely. It came with a little cover for the blade so I��m also not worried about my kids if they grab it out of the drawer. You can of course throw that away if your kids are older but I kept it for now.

I love this bread knife. It's so much easier to cut evenly sliced bread without having to break out the electric slicer. This fits conveniently on top of my bread machine in it's designated cabinet and takes up very little space. It's easy to adjust. It's sharp and effective. It's well built and fits comfortably in my hand. It's easy to clean. It also comes with a convenient cover for the sharp edge of the knife to prevent cutting yourself when you reach into a cabinet blindly to pull it out. Definitely recommend.

I have a non-adjustable sourdough knife and thought this adjustable would be a great option.

The knife arrives in a very nice gift-like setup, making it a nice gift without having to do much wrapping. The knife also comes with replacement hand-screws for the blade, a hex key wrench, and instructions. The blade has a pre-installed blade guard for safety.

The knife cuts well, is light enough to be easily maneuvered, and mostly cuts even. Having the cutting guide does get you some consistency that the knives without the guide don't always provide.
